Used Peugeot 406 cars for sale

Before we praise Peugeot cars for the things they do well, and there are many things that they do well, we must first ask the question: Why are they so slow? In the whole line up of Peugeot cars featured here, there is not a single one that can hit sixty miles per hour before you can count to eight. Not the 206 with a 2 litre, 16 valve GTi badge. Not the 607 with a 3 litre V6 engine. Not to put too fine a point on it, but these would be blown away by some of the Honda Civic 2 litre V-TECs.

OK, we’ve dealt with the speed thing. Look past that and you’ll find that Peugeot cars have plenty of attractive features to offset this perceived shortcoming. The 1007 has doors that slide open along the body, so you never have to worry about banging them on a lamp-post. The 206 GTi, like all Peugeot cars, has excellent handling and is still punchy enough when it counts – in short it’s still a great deal of fun for your money. The 407 looks great, and the V6 model will eat up the motorway all day in comfort, and the same goes for the more executive 607. The MPVs on offer do precisely what you want and the 807 has a mind-boggling three sunroofs. No, we don’t know why, but we like it.

Peugeot cars may not be the first make that leaps to mind when you are pondering what to do with your budget, but they are certainly a very credible choice and they’ll certainly look good on your driveway.
