Used Caterham cars for sale

Caterham cars began life thanks to Lotus who began producing the Lotus Seven in 1957. Within a couple of years, Caterham were granted the status of an approved centre for the Lotus Seven and soon became sole distributors. In 1973, Caterham cars acquired the rights to produce the Seven when Lotus decided they wanted to beef up their image with a more practical range. Caterham reasoned that there were plenty of enthusiasts who would flock to buy a lightweight racer with awesome handling that could be assembled in a home garage, and history has proved them right. More than thirty years later, the Caterham cars are still going strong and they continue to build new variations on the timeless Seven theme.

When you buy a new Seven you are presented with a choice – do you want your car factory-assembled and tested? Or do you want to buy it in kit form and put it together yourself? The answer to the question is never defined by the price – even at the top end of the Caterham cars’ range, the difference between the two choices is only £2,500 (this on a car that will hit 60mph in 3.7 seconds!). With an approximate build time of seventy hours you definitely get the feeling that you could do it…decisions, decisions.

Caterham cars have a very low depreciation value. This is because they offer what many consider to be the ultimate purest driving experience combined with a truly iconic look. Caterham cars are truly in a class of their own.
