Used Skoda cars for sale

It used to be the case that all you could write in a review of Skoda cars was a bunch of jokes about wheelbarrows, doubling their value by filling them with petrol, and other variations on their general godawfulness. My, how times have changed. Since being acquired by Volkswagen the old jokes about Skoda cars just don’t make any sense. It’s as if the French suddenly conquered the world and abandoned any interest in fromage frais. What’s the point of stereotypes if the object of them doesn’t stick to the format?

Where were we? Oh yes. Volkswagen cars. Audi cars. Skoda cars. Mention them in the same breath, because they share body parts in a way that would make ordinary folks blush. We have three Skoda lines detailed here – the Fabia (with saloon, hatchback and estate variants), the Octavia (estate or hatchback) and the Superb saloon, which would be more accurately named the Skoda Very Good.

Skoda cars are winning awards too. The Fabia was What Car and Auto Express Car Of The Year for 2000. The Fabia diesel won Diesel Cars’ Best Performance Diesel 2004 award. The Superb was Scottish Luxury Car Of The Year 2004. The Octavia was Daily Express Best Family Car 2004 and What Car’s Best Small Family Car 2004. And apparently the French are up for Jane’s Best Fighters award for 2006. We wouldn’t be surprised, if Volkswagen took them over.
