When it first came out the Peugeot 206 was seen to be the best in class for hot-hatches. Now there are competitors out there that give it a run for its money, so it is worth considering? • for the price the Peugeot 206 has a lot to offer by way of performance; • the 2.0 litre Peugeot 206 model reaches 60 MPH in a respectable 8 seconds; • the sport 206 model can achieve up to 130 MPH; • plenty of grip on the road and feedback is very responsive; • plenty of room in the back for two adults on relatively short journeys; • bumps on rough surfaces are noticeable; • the Peugeot 206 GTi offers 237 litres of space in the boot; • the base Peugeot 206 model comes with very little equipment as standard; • not very ergonomically fitted out so drivers may struggle to find a comfortable driving position; • pedals are close together which may pose a problem for drivers with a large show size.
