I am looking to get a new car but my credit history is not as good as it could be. What is the best place for me to get a loan. Do I go to the car dealer or do I approach my bank? I don't like the idea of these TV advert firms.

Hi Jackie. I have had this problem myself before. If you know you have bad credit then don't approach your bank as you'll be declined. The more credit searches you have against your name the less credit worthiness you have. My suggestion is that you search for "car loans" or "car finance" in Google and take a look at the brokers that specialize in obtaining loans for people (like us unfortunately) that have adverse credit!
