SummaryRecommended. Unsurpassed build quality and attention to detail have carried this model into its fourth incarnation and long will it continue. Of that there is no doubt. |
ReviewMillions of buyers can't be wrong. This class-leading hatchback is smart and sturdy, has the right image and decent interior space, and is not ageist in its appeal. Its ride is firm without being too hard, it covers ground with assurance and it's fantastically manoeuvrable for city zipping. Yes, there is competition from Seat, Ford, Alfa Romeo et al, and you would save a fair bit by knocking on their doors, but there are plenty of brand-loyal buyers who will not feel the need to look any further. Fifth generation launched late 2003.
