SummaryAverage. The Bora has all the abilities of a Golf hatchback - plus a boot. The trouble is the Golf costs less and is equally as capable. It's a quality saloon but relatively expensive. |
ReviewVW's iconic Golf has spawned plenty of siblings - including the Bora. It's a saloon version of the hatchback that's not as pretty, but is hugely capable. While VW prices are generally higher than the competition, you are assured of good build quality and top reliability. That extra premium usually guarantees high secondhand values as well, but the Bora suffers from comparisons with the more fashionable and cheaper Golf. A wide range of engine options add to the choice, with excellent TDI units.
