SummaryHighly Recommended. A Vauxhall sports car? Yep, and it's fantastic. Questionable build quality - and that badge - will put some off ownership, however. |
ReviewSome cars are built solely for driving enjoyment and this Vauxhall is one of them, so forget about practicality. Based on the Lotus Elise, the VX220 is noisy, almost raw, and utterly fantastic entertainment for those seeking automotive adventure. The ride is hard and the seats offer zero support - it's like sitting on concrete - but the performance is something else. The surrounding countryside takes on a horizontal appearance very quickly, but the VX220's excellent brakes soon make everything stand upright again and there's plenty of grip there when you need it.
