SummaryNot Recommended. Vertically stretched version of the little Yaris can carry more cargo. Solidly built but looks awful. |
ReviewBuilt by the maker of some of the most reliable cars in the world, the high-roof Yaris should prove a sound buy - not only reliable but durable too, as it is structurally very sound. There's a choice of two engines; one petrol and one diesel. The former needs plenty of encouragement, so the diesel is the one to go for, also giving better fuel economy. The Yaris Verso is not an exciting car, but it is easy to drive and there's little body roll to speak of. Road noise is intrusive, however. Service costs and insurance groups are low but the standard equipment list is not generous, with both air-conditioning and automatic gearbox as options.
