SummaryRecommended. Strangely styled but cavernous full-sized MPV that offers great space, excellent utility, and is surprisingly nice to drive, too. |
ReviewQuite possibly the most useful family car on the planet. Cavernous interior space makes rival big people carriers feel positively cramped, you can choose between 7 and 8 seat configurations. Predictably excellent Toyota build quality and good cabin ergonomic design. Good ride and fine handling make the Previa easy to drive, until it comes to the nerve-wracking business of parallel parking anyway. 2.4 petrol and 2.0 D-4D turbodiesel engines both offer good performance and reasonable fuel economy. The 2.4 is best sampled with the excellent automatic gearbox. Priced on a par with equivalent Renault Espace models, the Toyota is probably the better all-rounder.
