SummaryAverage. A van with windows and seats, intended to carry cargo of the human variety. Plenty of space, well built and reasonably nice to drive. Better equipped than Citroen Berlingo sister, but costs more. |
ReviewYes, the Partner is based on a commercial vehicle, but don't let that necessarily put you off. In terms of cheap utility it would be hard to do much better. The large surface area and poor noise insulation make for loud, windswept cruising. But otherwise the Partner is fairly painless thanks to comfortable chassis settings and accurate handling. Equipment levels are slightly better than the almost identical Citroen Berlingo, but the Peugeot also costs more, and you still need to pay extra for air conditioning or ABS braking. 1.4 petrol and 1.9 diesel engines are underpowered, but the 2.0 HDI (90 bhp) turbodiesel gives surprisingly rapid performance.
