SummaryNot recommended. Good looks but not much substance. Don't confuse it with the more expensive Shogun: mechanically, this one is more like a heavily modified pick-up truck underneath. |
ReviewIf you can't afford the full-size Shogun the smaller Sport looks like a good alternative. On paper it has the same rugged qualities but unusually it lacks the interior space up front and on-road comfort is below par. Equipment levels are only average - this is not the most sophisticated of 4x4s. The Sport tag suggests strong performance, although both the 3.0 V6 petrol and 2.5 TD are sluggish. There's not much fun to be had here either - unless you want to take a pricey SUV away from the tarmac and test your warranty.
