Average. A brave name but the Galant is basically a faceless saloon, with plenty of space and little else to recommend it. Prices are fair but depreciation is high.

Review

Galant is a big, roomy saloon that comes with a strong Mitsubishi warranty and reliability built in. There are good levels of standard equipment across the range and plenty of luggage space - especially if you opt for the cavernous estate model. Sadly, the Galant has little to excite the senses, with mediocre styling and an interior that isn't helped by the use of low quality materials. The engines are refined, particularly the 2.4 GDI which mixes fuel economy and performance. The 2.5 V6 is fast but the handling is too soft to be sporty.
