Sister car to the Peugeot 807 and Citroen C8, the
Fiat offers much the same deal. The cabin is spacious and well designed with numerous neat storage compartments plus seven-seat space. Ride quality is good thanks to soothing suspension settings and, although the Ulysse could never be described as fun to drive, the handling is confident and assured. Noise insulation is excellent, even at high speed on motorways, making for relaxed travel. Fiat's JTD turbo-diesel engines are the best powerplant options thanks to prodiguous torque and excellent fuel economy. Pricing overlaps Citroen sister too far for the Fiat to be described as the 'bargain' contender in the family: choosing between them will depend on which badge and cabin design you prefer - and who is offering the bigger discounts.
