SummaryAverage. Quintessential hire car: quite roomy with good safety ratings, but getting long in the tooth now. |
ReviewA little runabout that doesn't try to be anything else - and yet somehow is. The Punto looks different from any other supermini and the tidy styling continues inside, where you'll also find comfortable seats and ample space plus storage galore. This model rides more smoothly than the original and its electrically assisted power steering has a City button that makes it even lighter. Stick to the manual gearbox which is effortless; the CVT transmission is not helpful. Of the engines, the 1.2 16V Dynamic performs best, followed closely by the 1.9 turbodiesel. A happy little car.
