Review

The A4 is classy yet classless - it doesn't badge you like a BMW and is increasing in popularity as a result. Build quality is exceptional, cabin space is generous and its well-bred looks are guaranteed to turn heads. Quattro models have four-wheel drive, giving excellent roadholding as well as sharp steering. The manual gearbox is light and precise, the automatic alternative is just a little bit slower and all but the 1.6 engine offer superb performance. Especially with the diesels, running costs will be low but parts remain pricey.
